Oh, there ain’t nothing sacred nor blue about where you’ve ended up, lambchop.

Okay, well, Angechat is now headed off into the depths of the unknown, and I’m headed off to Peckerwood Estates with my family to celebrate the Fourth! I wish a pleasant and pyrotechnic Fourth of July to all my American homies, and I’ll see everyone on Monday!

Update: Argh, not again. FIXED

UPDATE AGAIN: Well, my health is significantly better, but I’m not up to a full 100%, and yes, the pages have suffered in the interim. I’m not proud of it, but the update will come in the evening. Which for those of you on the East Coast may be very early morning. Sorry about that. 🙁

STILL ANOTHER UPDATE: I’m sorry I don’t have a comic for you. I guess I can give you a status update. I’m still getting used to work, I guess. You know, it’s been a surprising amount of time since I held a full-time job. My previous job afforded me more money working half time than some folks make working full time, people were surprised that I gave it up. Thing is, I never gave a damn about the work at my old job, it was just that – a job. Here, I actually care about the work I do, and it produces a far more tangible result than previously. So I figure it’s a step in the right direction. It’s a writing job anyway, or close enough to it. But I haven’t been in the 9-5 life for a long time, and I come home really tired at the end of the day. I can see how easy it is to fall behind; no matter what ideas you get or plans you make while at work, when you get home, all you want to do is watch TV or internet or go to sleep.

Sometimes I wonder how long I’ll last at this. All Audries from previous years would be extremely pissed at me if I gave up now, but it’s harder than it used to be. I am determined to see this through, but I genuinely am concerned these days if I have enough momentum to carry me across to the next project. Or to update my store. Or to call my distributor to see if any of my books have sold (spoiler alert: probably not.) Christ, at this point, I’ll be happy if I can just finish this next page.

It’s about, oh, I’d say 85% complete by the way. Just the largest panel left to paint, then scan, editing, lettering and posting. But I just can’t hack it anymore tonight. I’ll have it up by Thursday.
