I like the expression on his face in the last panel. Sort of a combination of happy, dorky and scarily unhinged all at the same time.
Oh! And to answer Krulle’s question of “why the little spitty-lizard in the last comic”? Dunno. Seemed like a good place for it. Sort of suits our little kitten hero – he’s even disrespected by fellow denizens of his world that are so small he could EAT them. Or try to.
I’m probably horribly mortgaging my future wrists, but frankly, I’ve become so productive that I’m not even pretending to care. I am EXTREMELY confident that I will have a new page ready by Thursday!
Indeed, the expression in the last panel is wonderful!
Childish delight at what’s to come, and knowing he should not do something as dangerous.
Yet, knowing you will.
I never questioned the lizard. But acelightning will be happy to read the answer.
I was happy to see some extra effort to fill the panels with a small side story.
Hellfirekittens , why not acid/fire spitting lizards who want to be left in peace?
Take care of your wirsts, but as long as it flows, your hands shoud be able to take it.
My apologies, you are correct! It WAS Ace who asked about the acid-spitting lizard! But yeah, just adding little details here and there. Hell may get a lot of tourism, but some people still live and work there! 😉
Yeah, it was me who asked about the lizard, not Krulle. But that’s okay – you’re in “art trance”. (Frankly, I think that being so inspired will actually protect you from injuring your wrist any further. Bu I do hope someone periodically reminds you to eat, drink, sleep, and go to the bathroom…)
Yay! Demonkitty has finally managed to summon up fire by himself! He’d better get out of that building *fast*, though!
Ooh. I like that “art trance” idea. I’m using that to excuse my next atrocity. 😀
But yeah, hand is definitely getting better. Probably not as FAST as I would like, but anything less than instantaneous would not be fast enough, so that’s just me being fussy!
Any creative endeavor, or anything that requires a certain type of concentration, can induce a trance-like state. I’ve heard of “programming trance”, “drum trance”, game trance”, and “writer’s trance”, so there must likewise be “art trance”. When you’re in it, everything flows perfectly; the activity seems to be performing itself, or performing you; and you often find yourself capable of things you never knew you could do. And, because of this, instead of it stressing you, it relaxes you, including muscles that need to heal. Great fun when/if you find yourself doing it!
