And the best part of all, this whole drawn out exchange could have been completely avoided if JUST ONE OF THEM had thought to use the word “pigeon”!
Sorry for all the lateness. I don’t know what’s wrong with me – artistic constipation, I guess. Not much of an excuse, but there it is.
Next page is already in the inking phase though, so there should be NOTHING that keeps me from missing Thursday.
Space meteors, prove me wrong!
He’s not as dumb as we though he is. And he’s *quite* good at drawing… which is a little better way to learn a language than just by pointing at things. (Now which one of them is going to start singing “Alouette”?)

“Alouette” means “lark”, another smallish bird (the famous Quebecois folk song talks about plucking the feathers from various parts of the bird). Once they run out of things to say about a dove, they can move on to other birds…
I never thought about getting a translation for “alouette”. That’s the kind of curiosity I don’t follow. Thanks for the hint though.
