A few minutes late to the party, but at least I wore a nice dress. It is beyond awesome to watch someone school someone else, doubly so when the schooled party seriously deserves it, TRIPLY so when the schooling party is less than aware of it! Ange’s day is MADE.
So yeah, I’m on the fence about whether or not I like my new, MUCH more modern version of Photoshop. On the one hand, I am thirty one going on 3001, and I do miss my old, simplified setup with a less sensitive tracking mouse. On the other hand, this new program can detect and insert French character marks so I don’t have to add them by hand. New scanner’s looping me a bit too. Is this comic looking okay to everyone else? Better than the rest? . . . worse?
I want honesty here, people. Also, if anyone else can point me in the direction of a free downloadable program to play AVIs, I’d appreciate it. For some reason, that is a mountain the new version of Quicktime somehow cannot climb.
New comic Monday. For serious this time.
AVI (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Video_Interleave) is a Windows product; it’ll play in most versions of Windows Media Player. But I assume you’re using a Mac. The only freeware that’s available for Mac that will play AVIs is WinAmp… but WinAmp is unavailable at the moment because of multiple changes of ownership. If you have (or can find) an older version of WinAmp for Mac, it ought to work.
The comic looks great! (I know how it feels to have to get used to new software and hardware… I’m 66 going on 666, and just beginning to figure out how to use my new Win8 desktop machine.)
And seeing Demonkitty trying to “chat” up those two bitch-kitties, blissfully unaware of how “catty” their insults are, made me laugh so hard I nearly peed myself…
For playing video of all kinds, hard to go wrong with VLC. Free, plays pretty much everything on pretty much anything.
You should be able to use VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html
I’ve used it on both Windows and Linux without issue. Can’t speak to the MacOS version, but it claims to be able to play AVIs.
And the comic looks just fine.
The update is wonderful!
Who doesn’t know “friends” whom they wish to be happening something like this?
The comic looks more than fine.
Now back to closing my eyes…. (not working this week, fatigue has caught me in its clutches).
I have tried translators on this for the french and am only getting mixed results with what Marie and Jolie are saying. Can anyone tell me?
Hey, Willow, sorry for the confusion. The translation is:
“Look at that, Jolie – the acolytes are getting uglier, aren’t they?”
“Is that it? I thought a bit of smoke learned to talk!”
Thank you so much!
