Ohhh, poor Mundo. But you all loved him so much, I had to let you see him one last time, so I put him on kitten duty!
This has truly been one hell of a ride, and I am grateful to everyone who made this journey with me. I hope you all enjoyed this story, and I hope you enjoyed the next one as well. I have a terrible habit of shedding my audience by going missing, but hopefully I can offset that by posting stuff, starting this week, at audriverse.tumblr.com. I don’t know what I’m going to be posting yet – probably production notes for future projects, random bits of art I disgorge or whatever disjointed rambling happens to be on my mind at the moment. I’m also going to look into getting an updating news column of some kind on the front page, since alternate sources have assured me that going to Tumblr is a backstep in this case.
Unfortunately, my terrible habit of shedding my audience due to rapidly switching genres is alive and well. I’ll have a few more small fun projects, but the next big one will be – to put it lightly – taking things in a REALLY DIFFERENT direction. You’ll see, I hope.
Thank you again for everything. This has been a real treat. Now to get some uninterrupted sleep for the first time in more than two and a half years!!!!!!
Just give all of them ice cream, Mondo – that ought to keep them busy for a while!
That behemoth would need to get up uninterrupted for that.
I don’t think the small ones would let him…. 🙂
I’ll bet they would if he said “Let me get up, and I’ll give each of you a dish of ice cream. But you have to let me up first!”
Oh, they’d continue tackling him, and eventually they will stop, but only after a renewed promise of ice-cream.
He can promise them more ice cream after they’ve finished the first round, and then go away while they’re still eating…
Sleep well, Audrey. You deserve that.
And yes, I am looking forward to your next project. Wherever it takes me.
Also: wonderful page.
An army of small cuddly playful things can take down any armies heavy!
Do I have to join Tumblr in order to participate in what you’re going to do next?
tumblr enables anonymous comments/submissions/asks, if the blog owner allows it.
So long term it’ll depend on the amount of spam, I assume.
Since several artists I try to follow publish(ed) on tumblr I have an acccount, so that I can log in and see all of them in one go….
There are one or two Tumblrs that I read whenever I remember to, but they don’t permit non-Tumblr comments. Until now, it hasn’t mattered enough for me to bother signing up for anything. But I will now, because I want to keep up with Audrey!
Thank you again for a lovely story. You’re wonderful story teller. I’ll keep an eye on your tumblr for when you’re ready to start your next project. Until then, pleasant dreams!
Thank you so much for another wonderful story! Your work is a joy to follow. Looking forward to seeing what you do next (after some richly-deserved sleep of artistic victory, of course).
@Audrey: On the frontpage you can add the “completed” banner… 😉
